Outside of the studio, Tom enjoys spending time with his young and energetic family with as much time surfing as permitted (allowed!).

Alberto Aspe Hoy Studio Architect
  • Originally from Spain, Alberto holds a master’s degree in Architecture and Planning and is a qualified architect with a strong foundation in structural engineering. His expertise spans private residential renovations and new builds, giving him extensive construction experience and a meticulous understanding of design execution.

With his dual focus on architecture and structural engineering, Alberto brings invaluable insight to all studio projects. His early-stage analysis of structural requirements ensures seamless integration of design and engineering.

Alberto has an impressive athletic background as a former professional basketball player, representing both Real Madrid and the Spanish national team. These days, when his knees allow, you’ll find him playing pickup games across South London.

Ryan Bainbridge Hoy Studio Architectural Assistant
  • With a background in both architecture and art, Ryan brings a unique perspective to the studio. His strong painting skills and deep understanding of light and form, developed through his artistic practice, seamlessly inform his architectural creativity. This distinctive crossover enriches his designs, adding an artistic dimension to his work.

Ryan honed his expertise in high-end residential design during his time at Guard Tillman Pollock, where he developed a strong focus on modernism and refined his approach to detail.

Outside the studio, Ryan remains passionate about painting and is often experimenting with techniques and format. A seasoned traveller, he has spent formative years exploring Asia and South America, experiences that continue to inspire his creative outlook.

Ben Griffin Hoy Studio Architects
  • With a background in animation and post-production, Ben brings a unique skill set to the studio, specializing in 3D modelling and visualisation. His expertise ensures that projects are brought to life with stunning clarity and depth. The storytelling inherent in both architecture and film has proven to be a valuable crossover, enriching the studio's creative visual process.

Before joining the studio, Ben worked at an award-winning post-production company in London, collaborating on advertising, TV, and film projects for some of the world’s leading brands. His experience in visual storytelling continues to inform his approach to architectural visualisation.

Ben has had several incredible acting opportunities even featuring in a few movies - so please form an orderly queue for autographs! Ben is a passionate comic book fan and a talented artist who creates his own cartoons and concept art.

  • Winnie is our Front of House extraordinaire, greeting every visitor with her signature warmth and charm. Her comforting presence and general positivity are essential ingredients in the daily rhythm of studio life.

That said, Winnie isn’t exactly our most productive employee—it hasn’t escaped notice that she spends a significant portion of her workday napping. Her party trick? A remarkable ability to vanish completely by expertly camouflaging under any blanket, often staying hidden for hours on end.

While her work ethic might be questionable, her morale-boosting skills are second to none!

  • Django took the initiative to appoint himself as the studio’s Head of Security— a role he takes very seriously (perhaps too seriously at times). With his state-of-the-art wireless bark system, he ensures no visitor goes unnoticed. Knocking? Not necessary. Django’s early-alert system is always active and occasionally overzealous.

When he’s off-duty, Django can be found - or in most cases not found - in local parks and woodlands where he channels his energy into enthusiastically monitoring the local wildlife.
